Mission Statement

The mission of The Stella-Rosie Foundation is to identify orphans and children of single-parent families in Uganda who are motivated to learn but who lack the money to get into good schools where they can realize their potential – and then get them into those schools and support them until they graduate.

The Foundation is a registered 501(c) (3) non-profit organization headquartered in the United States, and contributions to it are tax-deductible. The officers and directors are all volunteers, enabling it to use gifts for the direct support of poor Ugandan children. As of the end of 2011 it was supporting 17 children in primary and secondary schools plus two in universities.

We take as our motto Gandhi’s famous statement: “Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.”
