Our Name

Our Name

“Stella”, my mother, taught me by her example how fierce determination can achieve great things. But she taught me something else as well, which I now realise is so much more important that I am dedicating the rest of my life to it. The “Rosie” in the Stella-Rosie Foundation is my husband’s late wife and the mother of my step-daughter. She missed three...

How We Help

Like many poor countries (and some not so poor), Uganda has a system of rigorous tests designed to winnow out all but the “brightest” children for secondary and university education.  These are nothing like the standardized achievement tests that students take in the United States.
